If you are looking for cheaper simpler alternatives to high-end tablet devices such as the iPad, Asus and Xoom, there are a few alternatives with top reviews and customer ratings. This post is about the best Android tablet PC for under £200 that I have found online to buy in the UK, the A1CS X220.

Even though this Android tablet from A1CS is less than £200 it has much of the functionality that you'd be looking for in the higher priced tablets.

This includes a refined UI from being able to customize the widget sizes on the home screen to having an expanded Recent Apps list.
Both of these aim to make the Android 3 devices easier in terms of navigation and in being more intuitive to how Android tablet PC is used.

New Android 3.0 Tablet PC Asus Eee Pad UK Release Date Delay
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer tab is the latest tablet PC in the UK to use the new generation of the Android OS. The new version of the Android system is an update to the 2.2 generation used in the Samsung Galaxy tab - see my previous posts, this operating system which has been developed specifically for small screen portable devices for tabs and smartphones to rival Apple's hugely successful iOS that use in their iPads and iPhone devices. However, the UK release date of Asus Eee Pad bundle with docking station and keyboard has been delayed by 2 weeks - due to high demand? Though you can buy Asus Eee Pad Transformer without them. Checkout the video below to see how the Asus tab works with this docking station and detachable keyboard - it is pretty cool!
